I just listed a framed print of this photo on Etsy (you can view the listing here).
In the description I said,
This is a beautiful and moody photo of a traffic sign and a stoplight. These cloud and sky color combinations occur often in Seattle, where this photo was taken. In the print, the colors are punchy and vibrant and interesting. There is much to look at in this photo.
I don’t know what more to say than that… this is one of those random photos I just ended up falling in love with. I think it’s because I have seen that Seattle sky so many times it evokes a clear feeling for me. It’s definitely characteristic of this area and something I would miss if I ever move away…
Of course, I’ve also always had a thing for utility lines and poles, and anyone who has viewed much of my photography will see them as a recurring theme.
