I am back from visiting family in Florida.

Oh Florida, you are so warm. I think I have post-trip depression.

I’m not used to the feeling of being far away from family that I love. I’m not really close to my blood relatives or parents, almost all of who are in Washington. Also, I’m an only child… the feeling of missing my mother-in-law and Richard’s aunt and uncle, all the way on the other side of the country, is a special kind of pain.
