I was in Puerto Vallarta for Día de Muertos last year. Richard and Jen and I took a cab at sundown to a nearby cemetery to see the celebration. We wandered through the cemetery, looking at all the plastic-wrapped decorations, flowers, and candles. I saw only a couple other gringos there. After we wandered out into the street, a friendly woman gave us free pan de muerto and advice on how to battle heat exhaustion. (Mix one part Pedialyte and one part Gatorade. Drink a bunch.)
